Your imagination destroys your beauty

In response to this need for awareness, the Gulf Health Council (GHC) launched the first campaign in the GCC region

Focusing on BDD to raise awareness about the disorder under the title (Your imagination destroys your beauty)



It takes 10 to 15 years for the disorder to be diagnosed when symptoms become more severe.



Studies have shown that 1 in every 50 individuals is diagnosed with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), but diagnosis rates remain low.



Body Dysmorphic Disorder: is a psychological disorder categorized as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), causing individuals to have a distorted mental image of their appearance, obsessing over one or more perceived flaws, even if it is minor or invisible to others.
