Boehringer Ingelheim wanted to explain the molecular intricacies of schizophrenia’s cognitive symptoms while keeping it accessible. They reached out to us for help.Our goal? Make the complex understandable. This case study dives into our process. We tailored each version for different audiences with the goal of fostering widespread awareness and understanding of cognitive symptoms in schizophrenia. In visualising the symptoms of schizophrenia, we drew inspiration from the ink-blotter style of the Rorschach test. By merging ink clouds into short texts, we depicted the challenges faced by individuals living with schizophrenia. This approach fostered inclusivity, enabling viewers to interpret the visualisations through their own experiences.
