Our client was facing a significant challenge in addressing the data and analytics needs of a wide range of employer groups, covering nearly 30 million Americans. To handle such a massive volume of data and meet the diverse requirements of these groups, they required a comprehensive BI Analytics system capable of providing fast, efficient, and scalable solutions. Ensuring the system was cost-effective was crucial to maintaining operational sustainability while offering advanced analytical capabilities. Moreover, data security was a top priority for the client, given the sensitive nature of the information involved. They needed a system that guaranteed the highest levels of data protection to safeguard their users’ privacy and adhere to regulatory compliance standards.
In addition to speed, scalability, and security, the client sought an integrated solution that combined the key features of two existing systems—Discover, for generating insightful and visually appealing dashboards, and information insights Access, for producing precise and reliable canned reports. This integration was essential to streamline the user experience and avoid the complications of using separate tools for different types of analysis. However, the client’s needs extended beyond merely replicating these features. They wanted a system that could evolve by incorporating new functionalities, making it highly customizable to suit the specific and changing demands of their end users.
The overarching goal was to develop a unified solution that would provide a seamless experience for data analysis and reporting. The client aimed to create a platform that could not only meet the existing analytical needs of various employer groups but also scale up to accommodate future demands. With a system capable of offering both ad-hoc analysis through dashboards and structured reporting via canned reports, they aimed to deliver a superior, user-friendly BI and Analytics application tailored to the specific requirements of the healthcare sector.
