For National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, we knew as wellness professionals, it was our responsibility to help get the word out. So we teamed with local artists and went to the sand castle capital of the world, South Padre Island, and parked outside the largest beach bar in the state. For two days we created a giant Melanoma Monster, handed out sunscreen, cover-up t-shirts and gave a lot of beachgoers valuable information on skin cancer and how to prevent it.
We teased out the campaign with wild postings and mini sculptures on the beach pushing our call to action and hashtag #BewareBesafe
