RxSense is a healthtech company delivering price transparency and lowering costs of prescriptions for partners and patients nationwide. Its innovative solutions enable organizations across the pharmacy ecosystem to take control of their pharmacy benefits, and provides access to real-time business analytics to optimize their clinical, operational, and financial performance. RxSense also owns and operates SingleCare, a free prescription savings service that offers consumers savings of up to 80% on prescription drugs. Through its partnerships with the country’s largest grocers and pharmacies, including CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Kroger and Albertsons, SingleCare improves access and adherence to affordable medications – saving consumers an average of $76 per script – and has helped millions across the U.S. collectively save over $8 billion on their meds.
In the past year, RxSense announced new technology collaborations with Walgreens and Kroger, to bring lower cost prescriptions to millions of people across the country.
First, in July, Kroger announced the launch of its new Kroger Health Savings Club (KHSC) powered by RxSense. KHSC is a membership program developed with the goal of providing members and their families savings on commonly prescribed medications. RxSense’s technology for pharmacy benefits administration allows Kroger to manage all claims adjudication, and offers access to claim-level detail, and changes to copay structures or pharmacy networks – delivering transparency, and substantial operational efficiency and savings.
Then in November, RxSense announced it would power another solution to help consumers save on their prescriptions through its strategic alliance with Walgreens to launch Rx Savings Finder, a new digital marketplace for consumers to access lower prices on thousands of prescription medications at Walgreens pharmacies nationwide. Through the new Rx Savings Finder, Walgreens customers can now conveniently compare prices available through a variety of free prescription discount cards to access savings. The response to the pilot program was overwhelmingly positive, with both customers and pharmacy staff reporting significant time and cost savings. During an 11-month pilot program, Walgreens and RxSense's new program saved patients almost $70 million on their prescriptions using the Rx Savings Finder when compared to the cash price.
