ZYMVOL is pioneering a new way of discovering and optimizing enzymes through molecular modeling, with the potential to transform how pharmaceuticals, ingredients, and materials are made. Yet as the company entered its sixth year, its brand was not reflecting the scale of its technology or the ambition of its business. The market saw ZYMVOL primarily as a sophisticated technical tool, rather than as the strategic partner it had already become.
The challenge was to turn a complex scientific proposition into a distinctive, meaningful, and credible brand.
Our work began with a strategic rebranding process involving leadership, science, marketing, and sales. Through a series of collaborative workshops, we uncovered the knowledge, ambitions, and perspectives already present within the organization, and translated them into a shared brand strategy.
Three core territories emerged: revolutionizing industrial processes, continuously disrupting established approaches, and helping clients optimize and control their investment. These became the foundations of a new value proposition and led to a central brand idea: “reinventing how everyday products are made.”
From this strategic core, we rebuilt the brand. We developed a new verbal identity to make complex science more accessible and articulate ZYMVOL's strategic role. We created a distinctive visual identity that expressed transformation, scientific sophistication, and industrial impact. We also redefined the brand architecture, integrating ZYMBRAIN into a coherent ecosystem and giving the subbrand a clear role within the wider proposition.
The rebranding was then brought to life across every touchpoint. A new website made the company's proposition and impact understandable before any commercial conversation. A new video translated complex enzymatic processes into tangible industrial outcomes. Templates and a brand toolkit enabled the team to consistently activate the new identity.
The transformation took place alongside strong business momentum. ZYMVOL closed a €3M seed round in February 2025, welcomed John Nicols to its board two months later, and announced a strategic collaboration with Olon in February 2026.
The result is a brand that no longer simply communicates what ZYMVOL does, but clearly expresses the transformative role it aims to play in the future of industry.
