If you require glasses, you likely have astigmatism, a condition where the eye's shape causes light to

focus on multiple points, leading to blurred vision. This necessitates correction through glasses or surgery. For vision-correction surgery, precise marking on the eye is crucial for aligning lasers or artificial lenses to the correct axis of the astigmatism distortion.

The RoboMarker G2 is a two-part product by Surgilum and a first-in-class, handheld device designed to aid ophthalmic surgeons in achieving great vision outcomes for their patients:

-Hidden pendular weight system that keeps a numerical axis dial horizontally stable.

-Pre-inked disposable tip that is attached to the handle at the desired axis of astigmatism correction.

Traditional markers, requiring sterilization and wet ink application, often produce fleeting, unclear marks. The RoboMarker's innovative pre-inked tip offers durable, crisp marks for over two hours, ensuring surgical precision. It eliminates the guesswork of previous methods by utilizing gravity and an internal pendulum for axis alignment, laser tested to a precision of +/- 1 degree.

The RoboMarker also introduces multiple First-In-Class advancements in corneal marking, including:

-Illuminated axis dial to enhance user experience and accuracy.

-Axis dial magnification for increased ease of use and accuracy.

-Accelerometer-directed laser target projection onto the patient’s face and eye for better mark centration.

-Integrated fixation light that mimics the diagnostic equipment measurement fixation light allowing patients to be marked like they were measured.

At Surgilūm, we focus on pioneering medical device innovations that blend functionality with a distinctive aesthetic. For surgeons, the G2 is more than a tool; it is a partner in precision. Its ability to produce accurate corneal markings reduces the risk of postoperative complications and enhances patient satisfaction and trust while earning international praise for engineering finesse and futuristic design. The ergonomic design ensures ease of use, allowing surgeons to focus on their craft with confidence. This advancement in surgical technology underscores Surgilum's commitment to improving patient outcomes and elevating the standards of ophthalmic care. This system represents a novel, comprehensive solution, significantly enhancing the experience and outcomes for both surgeon and patient.
